Each week, Female CoFounder features a female founder in the community. Follow along each week and learn from different founders and their journeys.
This week's founder feature, we'd like to introduce you to Grace Saati! She's the Founder of LawHero.
Grace: LawHero is a platform that connects people who can't afford a lawyer, to legal professionals online, where they can receive on the spot legal advice and support with discrete tasks i.e. general advice, drafting assistance, document review, courtroom preparation etc... at affordable rates.
FcF: How did you come up with LawHero?
Grace: I was a lawyer, and practiced law for several years. I noticed first hand a huge gap in the market as far as those who could and couldn't afford legal support. I decided to start LawHero as a way to provide affordable support to those who otherwise were shut out of the justice system.
FcF: What were the first 3 steps you took after you knew you wanted to pursue this idea?
(1) I scoured the internet for similar businesses to LawHero, and assessed how/if they were effective.
(2) I researched areas of law people needed the most help, and determined how big the demand was.
(3) thought about how to solve the problem, and what technologies I could leverage to do so.
FcF: What advice do you have for other women who have a start-up idea or side project idea?
Grace: Just go for it, no matter how daunting it seems, just start...everything will fall into place.
FcF: Is there anything you would like the Female CoFounder community to help you with?
Grace: Always needing support, encouragement, and a fresh set of eyes/ears on my thoughts.
FcF: How can people connect with you?
